I wasn't aware of it, but considering all the modders involved, they might have created a mod that enhances it for regular Skyrim. If none exists, then SE probably has to handle it for the OP, though modders usually don't back SE much.

the sole reason SE lacks mod support is that numerous mods depend on SKSE, which had to be entirely redeveloped for the updated 64bit release of Skyrim. SKSE64 is still in its initial phase (though now available). as it stabilizes further, mods will begin being adapted for SE. the main advantage of SE was never about improved graphics; it was about transitioning to a 64bit architecture, allowing the game to utilize more than 4GB of memory and supporting DX11. all other new features are merely consequences of those two upgrades.
