I downloaded Skype and launched it. I clicked [No account] and was redirected to a window saying Let's get started (Create or Sign in).
A large red banner appeared: Unable to sign in. Please check your internet connection and try again.
My internet seems fine, but I just installed the EXE file.
I also tried ZOOM, which turned out to be equally problematic. Clicking the blue sign-up button made it gray for a moment before returning to blue, but no progress was made.

It seems like a parental control or antivirus-related lockout issue occurs frequently on Windows, disrupting installations of applications such as Skype, Discord, Zoom, and others. To resolve this, consider turning off the antivirus software and reattempting the installation.
