Skus Ballistix?
No BIOS updates are available yet. This questionable package appears to be somewhat outdated. I previously purchased it in 2020, but I haven’t located it on any QVL listings. It’s possible the specific version is tailored for Intel’s XMP profile, which could account for compatibility problems with AMD’s DOCP. I revisited the issue and noticed that the two older DDR modules in my 1700 rig’s MSI B450M are behaving differently, hinting at instability or a defect. If this was intended for Intel systems, that might explain the observed behavior.
This kit functions perfectly with the ASRock B450M-HDV and the 3600X. The DIMMs previously in the 5900X that were replaced are now completely inactive. I tested without DOCP and it performed well. Enabling DOCP improved the results significantly. The audio and video cutout has disappeared, indicating the RTX3060ti from the 5900X build is in good condition. I’m optimistic this supports the QVL'd RAM I received for the Asus board when reassembly is complete. Those who dismiss QVL are missing strong proof against that view.
