Sure, I understand your perspective. I'm trying to keep everything running smoothly except for the essentials needed for gaming. However, I still need the computer for everyday tasks like printing, sending emails, and browsing the internet.

Have you noticed any consoles recently? They run a lot of updates, from social platforms to streaming services like YouTube and Netflix. It's not as severe as what your son does, but it's also not the clean setup we once imagined for consoles. The issue really started with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, where the operating system grew increasingly large over time.
