Situations functioned until they stopped.
Today I started assembling my new PC. Everything seemed to go smoothly, the installation completed and Windows set up. It worked well, moved the machine into its designated area, but it wouldn<|pad|> to power on. I took it back to my workbench and removed the side panels for a better view. Once inside, I checked all cables, unplugged them, and reconnected. However, when I tried to boot, the CPU error light appeared again. I reinserted everything just in case. The issue persisted even after clearing the CMOS. I removed all components except RAM, left the motherboard in its recommended position for a single power supply, and verified the CMOS was clean. I also removed the GPU and storage drives to return to the state before testing. Now I’m unsure what caused the problem—maybe something was missed or overlooked. This is my third attempt building a PC, so I’m hoping the board or CPU wasn’t damaged. It’s strange how everything functioned on my workbench but failed when I tried to restart in the office. Edit 2*** but now it doesn’t post at all, stuck on CPU error after resetting the PSU. Even tried a different PSU I had. Removed all but one RAM slot, left the motherboard in its suggested location for a single power supply unit, checked for bent pins on the CMOS, and cleared the GPU and drives to revert to the earlier state. I tested it again early on and still faced issues. Thanks for any tips.

Hi, I've verified the wall outlets and everything functions properly. At first, I needed to check for sanitization purposes during troubleshooting, but now I want to highlight that. Recently, the computer system stopped working on my build table/workbench and is now in my office. I connected it to the first outlet and it started working again. I had moments doubting if I missed turning on the PSU, but the fans and rear fan activated upon powering up. Early in my investigation, I also tested using only the back panel to see if that was causing the problem, and it was. I removed all cables from the motherboard and PSU side since it's a modular PSU, replacing them to ensure stability. After that, booting the PC didn't work at all and I encountered a CPU error. I also tried using a PSU from my old spare PC, confirming it worked before removing it and installing it. I'm trying to eliminate whether the issue lies with the CPU power cable or something else. That's where I'm standing now. Edit**** I also updated my message to give more details about the current situation and added extra background to clarify why I initially disconnected the PSU.
