I own an outdated computer with two 4GB DDR3 RAM modules, while my older brother still has his old machine with two more 4GB DDR3 sticks. I attempted to install his setup into mine for a total of 16 gigabytes, but it won’t start. The motherboard is a Lenovo 4518NW6, the CPU is an Intel i5 2500, and both RAM modules run at 1333MHz.

The RAM model isn't specified, but it's best to avoid mixing and matching on OEM motherboards.

The ram in this PC has a unique design. One module is from an unspecified manufacturer, while the other matches Samsung's specifications. Both modules utilize RAMAXEL technology.
