The top SP game I enjoyed last year was Horizon Zero Dawn. On an OLED with strong hardware it performed flawlessly. My SP titles between AAA releases are Space Engineers and BattleTech. Although I had to connect a controller for some sections, I liked NieR: Automata. While I wait for Mass Effect Legendary Edition, I plan to run a 4K playthrough of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat with mods.

Pick up your controller (Xbox) and grab a wheel if you have one.

Horizon received positive feedback. It seems I overlooked that title. This should be my main focus now. My setup includes a 4K 120Hz OLED and a 3080, which should provide solid performance for Nier. Although I tried playing Nier after a while, the story didn’t engage me, so I stopped. Many people claim this game has an excellent narrative, and the Mass Effect remastered titles are something I’m eager to try next. I haven’t played any of these games yet, making it a great opportunity to explore the series. I recall the Stalker games from my younger days, but I never thought they were strong.

Thank you for the idea, but racing games and simulators aren’t really what I enjoy. I noticed a few YouTubers having fun in these titles, but I’m pretty sure they don’t suit my preferences.

I spent a lot of my time in the 80s using a 2080 Ti at 60Hz, which felt a bit tight. I also tried 1440p at 120Hz, but that game really shines with 4K.
