I mainly invest in games with release on multiplayer titles I already enjoy, like Battlefield 3. I also keep a singleplayer option available because I frequently purchase them on Steam deals, but I find multiplayer experiences more engaging for me.
I tend to interact with friends in multiplayer settings too, but I don't really focus on campaigns. It's hard to keep track of how many games I've played, but I'm definitely enjoying this one! YES, I'm going to Finnish it up—it's so much fun... :/ It never happens like that, haha!
I prefer single-player experiences over multiplayer when purchasing a game. I find myself fully immersed in the narrative and connecting with the characters. Multiplayer has always been a secondary consideration for me. It’s useful when I’ve completed the single-player mode and want to test how the mechanics function with others. Multiplayer enhances replay value beyond what a single game offers on its own. Of course, there are titles designed exclusively for online play, and that’s acceptable. The key is matching the game type to the intended experience. I dislike when games shift toward a half-baked single-player that feels like a tutorial for the multiplayer mode, especially if it lacks depth or story relevance.
