I prefer simple designs and want to know if there are lightweight mods for Windows 7.

Previously I verified it was known as Windows 8, you might want to give it a try

Consider a minimalist approach. The Windows 98 theme works well on Windows 7.

You already have Rainmeter, but if you're looking to customize the operating system's appearance, CustoPack is an option. Visit http://www.custopack.com/ to access it. It's a free tool that lets you apply themes inspired by various developers. You can browse themes and install them manually, though this process takes time. The program backs up your Windows system files and adds the chosen theme. Remember to restore the default Windows 7 theme after use, especially if you plan to remove CustoPack. It doesn't function properly on Windows 8, and attempting to do so will likely cause significant issues.
