Kdenlive offers solid performance and is completely free, though it runs only on certain operating systems like Linux, FeeBSD, and OS X. People also mention Adobe Premiere Pro positively, even though I haven't tried it myself. For budget-friendly options, Sony Vegas Pro is popular, but it comes with a higher cost.

The AVS Suite costs about $50, but I wouldn't recommend it. The product quality is quite low, and their support team didn’t offer a refund even though the website states you can request one if you’re unsatisfied within a year.
