I shared an update on the new build subforum about converting an old workstation into a gaming setup. A few suggested moving from the Intel Xeon E5-1607v3 to the E5-1650v3. Some sites list these upgrades for about $130. Are there similar options that fit LGA and offer better performance without exceeding a $200 budget?

The most affordable LGA 2011-3 processors are the E5-V3 and E5-V4 chips. The 1650 series and similar options tend to offer strong value unless you manage to secure a low-cost i7-5820K or 5930K with solid upgrades.
