Visit the hardware store’s insulation section to find self-adhesive foam rolls ideal for sealing windows. They offer superior cushioning compared to traditional foam mounting tape. For older methods, secure the drive in a 5.25" bay using rubber bands or place rubber grommets that barely touch the case.

there should be an equivalent, if theirs a car audio moding scene in your country they'll definitely have something, its just a sound deadening mat used to stop vibrations from large car subwoofers

Earlier this past year I made a mistake by securing a hard drive with rubber bands. I won't say why I did it, just that I didn't hear the warning.

I've mentioned before that it's too costly for me.

You'll need to locate some scrap foam to reduce the sound waves it produces. Alternatively, you could create a hole in the wall and connect to another room, like my laundry area, allowing your PC to be in a different space. This method removes both sound and heat from your workstation.

Between hd and bottom plate, follow the instructions closely. Cut a narrow strip for the rail base on the sled. In extreme scenarios, you may even detach the entire HDD housing in that situation. Place tape between the case and frame, then secure it firmly again.

I received this, I'm hoping it functions. If not, I'll look at the other option. It isn't available locally, so shipping will be delayed if I choose that one. For now, I need to test the one I have.
