Close to my router, the internet performance exceeds the price I pay—but when I move two rooms away, speeds drop threefold. Could this be caused by interference? Since I’m in an apartment with everyone using the same ISP, it might be a shared signal issue. My router seems new, so the problem could lie elsewhere.

You can compare the two networks by checking the variations between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz options, unless you lack the 5GHz one, which might cause interference from nearby devices.

Hi! I’m not sure about your specific setup, but generally I use a Wi-Fi 6 router with an Ethernet connection. Upload speeds are around 1 Gbps, download speeds up to 3 Gbps, and it supports 802.11ax standards. Let me know if you need more details!

I need 60mbps in both directions... plus a 2ms ping. The ISP says it’s fiber internet.

Which router are you using? (The actual device) Is your home constructed from dense concrete or lighter materials? Do you have a 2.4GHz or 5GHz network?

I think you mean to say "alternate blocks of concrete."
So it sounds like you're referring to sections of concrete that are laid in a pattern.
