I've experienced significant frame rate drops in CS:GO, especially when looking into smoke. This wasn't an issue before I upgraded my storage from old OS to SSD. Now, even with an R9 290, 14.12 Omega drivers, an i5 4460, and 8GB RAM, the game crashes at 50fps. BF4, WT, and R2TW are functioning properly, but CS:GO keeps causing problems. I've reinstalled multiple times, cleared files, and checked the Steam cache, but nothing has resolved it.
I think you're dealing with some driver problems. A fresh system setup followed by driver installation might help.
