Significant fluctuations in latency are noticeable in Rocket League.
This should be shared in networking. Over the past week my ping in Rocket League has fluctuated significantly, ranging from 40 to 120 or even higher at times. Earlier it was consistently between 25 and 45. With my roommate, we had very similar pings during matches on the same network, but his remained stable while mine declined. I’m experiencing a strange, elastic feel when moving the ball or watching other players. Things I’ve tried: driver updates on laptop, firmware updates on router, switching between 2.4/5 GHz networks, restarting the laptop several times since the issue began, and confirming I’m in the correct region for RL servers. We’re in a college dorm with our own router but no control over ISP matters. Both of us use laptops connected via Wi-Fi ASUS Zenbook 15 UX534F and TP-Link AC-1750. Any advice would be appreciated!
