I've been playing Call of Duty: Warzone from the start and really enjoyed it. Lately I've faced severe frame drops that are both intense and happening often—like dropping from 60 to just 5 frames quickly. I'm seeking assistance. I've tried reinstalling or removing drivers and running a Windows update, but it's not my computer's throttling since I've also undervolted the GPU and CPU. My system specs are: i5 8300H, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060 4 GB, and the game is running on an HDD.
Gather certain utilities (Nvidia Inspector, Afterburner, etc.) to track your CPU and GPU activity along with temperatures. Run the game and observe how temperatures and timing change during intense frame drops. This will aid in determining whether overheating stems from the processor or graphics card, or if a software problem is involved.
It seems your device’s performance might be affected by limited game data swapping due to insufficient system memory for the new title. Try closing all open browsers and unused applications that could be draining resources. If this improves things, it’s likely the memory capacity is too low for such a modern game. Even so, upgrading your laptop to at least 16GB of RAM would be a wise move, as 8GB is generally insufficient for current titles. (Just Cause 3 from 2015 will warn you if you have only 8GB of RAM)
It functioned properly before yesterday, and I've been using it since its release.
It seems you're checking if your system is running smoothly without excessive memory usage or multiple browser windows. Have you noticed any unusual behavior with your computer's performance lately?
