Signals are disappearing from monitors.
I'm not sure what's going on, but I purchased a gaming PC from a friend. Soon after, while playing games, the monitors would show no signal and cut off, staying in standby without returning. The game continued to run, though audio worked fine. Eventually, the graphics card stopped functioning properly, but it worked again for a short time. After replacing it, the issue returned. I took it to a shop that said the components were outdated, estimating high repair costs and suggesting new parts instead. I suspect they might have wanted to sell me a new PC rather than fix it. The system still had an i7 CPU with DDR3 RAM, but I don't remember the GPU model. I'll look into it later.
I considered the power supply, but if you mean whether my PCIe slot is internal or external, it’s all internal. Sorry, I’m not as skilled with computers now as I used to be ten years ago. If I misunderstood your comment, I’m sorry. I don’t think it would be the power supply since the computer and other parts work fine. Just the monitors stopped working and lost signal, so they won’t turn back on until I shut down the PC again. Also, I should mention I noticed the motherboard had that red light flash last time I turned it on—couldn’t recall the duration or timing, though. The CPU fan error appeared, but the case fan is spinning properly.
