The Wi-Fi intermittently drops for 10 to 20 seconds whenever you activate your laptop, light, open a door, ring the bell, or open the front door. This issue occurs occasionally but is most frequent when turning on the laptop. You're using a 2.4GHz connection.

It looks like you're observing an antenna-like signal pattern and wondering about other devices using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Have you adjusted the channel on your router?

I didn't have one, but I checked the Wi-Fi analyzer and it wasn't too busy.

I didn't include any quotes, and others seem to use 2.4GHz too.

Have you tried simple fixes such as changing channels or resetting your router?

All the Wi-Fi throughout the house stops working. The router shows internet is active. I don’t recall any recent changes that caused issues. It seems there’s a motion-activated light or camera for neighbors, though I’m not sure if it uses motion detection. I’d consider checking the circuit breakers, but it’s tricky because the problem occurs randomly—sometimes a few times a day, other times weekly.

I could change channels, but according to a Wi-Fi analyzer there aren't really many networks (just five including me) at the same time. Usually it's two or three. It shifts depending on where I'm moving around in the house, lol. If you'd like, I can send screenshots.

2.4 Ghz serves more than just WiFi; other gadgets also rely on it. Similar to how a portion of the 5GHz range is utilized by radar, these applications aren't visible to standard WiFi analyzers. Honestly, I wouldn't attempt to connect with 2.4Ghz using a long pole if 5GHz existed.
