Recently began experiencing a problem where my monitor would lose connection to my GPU. I spent some time diagnosing the issue, but recently swapped out my motherboard thinking the problem lay in the MB, CPU, or PSU. It seems to be functioning properly now, yet since I replaced the motherboard, I also had to swap the CPU. I’m unsure whether the issue stems from the CPU or the motherboard itself. I believe the GPU isn’t the culprit because I tried another GPU and encountered the same problem. I’m looking for ways to pinpoint the problem without changing the motherboard or CPU. The symptoms described are: monitor shutting off with no signal, GPU lights and fans briefly stopping, then resuming. Occasionally all fans—including the CPU fan—shut down, and the PC stays on. Motherboard indicators stay lit. After fans restart, the monitor still lacks a signal, and the only solution is to reboot the system. This can happen a few minutes after startup or during boot. When I tested with an older 1050 Ti system (Ryzen 5 5600X, MSI MPG B550, etc.), it lasted longer before losing signal. My PC specs: CPU Ryzen 5 5600X, Motherboard MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, RAM 2x8 G.Skill Ripjaws, GPU 2060, PSU Cougar VTE 500W. I was advised to replace the PSU but haven’t done it yet, which is why I thought it might be related.
