Signal drops unexpectedly Device stops receiving data Connection interrupted immediately
PC and monitor function properly until the screen abruptly disconnects and audio cuts out. Attempted fixes include installing RAM and inspecting HDMI. This issue began roughly two to three days ago; I was using it for about fifteen minutes before it went black. Over time, it escalated to a quicker occurrence. This morning the PC shut down in just five minutes. Plugging the HDMI into the motherboard also fails to transmit a signal. What actions should I take? Should I reinstall the GPU, replace the cable, or take the PC to a repair shop? System specs: RAM 2x8GB, CPU Ryzen 3220G, GPU NVIDIA GTX 1660, Motherboard Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H rev1, Monitor AOC E2470Sw. Updated May 8, 2024 by Mark Sideris
The length of your HDMI cable isn't specified, and it's unclear if both your GPU and monitor support a DP port.
Needs PC details like RAM rate and CPU performance (especially if overclocked). Expect the screen to turn off, though the monitor stays powered on.
By default, the GPU should be turned off in the BIOS to avoid conflicts, and you need to manually reactivate it if you want to use it.
What kind of computer is this? The details are pretty specific. Just to clarify, I understand you're asking about the model and specifications, but I didn't need to edit anything since the original post was clear. Let me know if you want help with anything else!
