Hey everyone, does anybody know what's up with my PC? Recently just had this built and my PC's working fine, I was even able to play some games, but this red light's makin' me nervous LOL. (Sorry, not well-versed in this particular area.)

The manual indicates the location of your debug LEDs. One functions as the Boot LED, illuminating when the device starts running an operating system. Begin by consulting the manual for further details.

The device is functioning properly. No concerns needed; likely just a RAM circuit lighting up the LED. Let's proceed.

It's one of the debug indicators. Since we can't identify the exact device, it's hard to determine the reason for its activation. It probably means the GPU or boot interface took a little longer to start than expected, causing the debug lights to display an issue that isn't present. Without more checks, we can't confirm the cause. If everything functions normally, you can safely ignore it. Typically, this light should only illuminate during initial boot setup and then fade off, which is uncommon when running the operating system.

Other boards may display an LED in specific areas during operation. My setup for the 754 comp (DFI NF4-X Infinity) includes one near the RAM slots that stays lit continuously.

Yeah, but not the Debug LEDs that are lit up in that photo on that board.

Agreement required if it's a debug LED remaining active. There must be a cause behind it, likely related to something you mentioned earlier—something that triggers it but doesn’t affect the overall system. Probably connected to RAM speed, voltage, or another factor. At this stage, unless issues arise, I’d only consider it when problems appear, treating it as the indicator pointing to the main issue.

Eh, probably not. The RAM Debug LED only activates when memory training occurs or if a memory issue happens; I haven’t seen a system power up with it still lit. Boot and VGA work, though—if I try, I can often keep them steady with a command (GPU LED is the simplest). Still, unless you’re really bothered by that red light, it’s not something to worry about.

This is what I posted previously was relating to. I know if RAM fails to train during boot it can be caused by RAM speed being set too high (Or just wrong) in the BIOS, not enough voltage to keep it stable enough to train and so on. In this case it's not failing to train nor seems unstable enough to cause a crash or lockup. Maybe if we can hear from others with this same make & model board they can tell us if this is happening with their boards as well..... You never know right? We do agree however as long as the machine is working properly, it's not a big deal "As Is".
