I started Linux Mint from a live USB since my regular installation is stuck on the spinning wheel. Now I’m trying to recover my data before reinstalling, but it’s encrypted and I can’t access it. I shared a screenshot of running “sudo ecryptfs-recover-privat .Private/” and entered the password correctly, yet I keep getting the error “directory not found.” I really need the files back and would appreciate any assistance. Thank you!

Consider executing " sudo ecrypts-add-passphrase --fnek" prior to running ecryptfs-recover-private. This guide outlines a solution for your issue (bottom of page) http://davidsulc.com/blog/2019/04/27/rec...on-ubuntu/
