Also heres the review i read for the sx58h7. Theres really no reason to crossflash now aside from if voltages or adjustments are lacking since i can just dump the bios on a laptop with my programmer and modify the ebb by swapping it out for an r3be one which will pretty much max out oc capability And yes this is indeed an ami bios so plenty of options for crossflash, but likely asus being the only viable one
I have a lot of old electronics from discarded devices, which is why I own machines I usually don’t need—just things that catch my eye or are hard to find.
My school often faces issues with outdated equipment. Sometimes departments acquire new computers but fail to recycle the old ones, leaving them stored away for years. Eventually, someone like me discovers them, explores the space, and the IT team agrees to take them because it frees up room for newer e-waste. As long as I run DBAN or dismantle the drives, I’m permitted to keep everything. It’s a fair arrangement. I also contribute by helping with tasks such as filming events, fixing failing PCs, and installing new hardware—receiving items that suit my needs while they remain unused by others.
I discovered a shop that had a large selection of old GPUs, e-waste, and maybe some collectibles. Most of their e-waste consisted of GPUs, so I wasn’t sure about other components. You could buy an entire box for around 100,000 IDR. https://www.tokopedia.com/teknody This might be something you’ve seen before, but if not, I hope it helps!
I've noticed that person earlier, but the costs look really high for old devices. Perhaps I could explore a comparable option, or look into other places for e-waste recycling.
