I limited my frame rate to 60. Occasionally, during driving, FPS drops to 45 and audio pauses briefly. I'm using GTX 1080 with 7700t and 8GB RAM. Is this a network issue? 1080p?

No, GTAV isn't the sole game with a problem. Many titles face various issues depending on the platform or updates.

Fallout 4 also reduces the frame rate from 60 to 50 and slightly slows things down. However, it's not as impactful as in GTA V.

Use Intel XTU to display CPU temperatures or track CPU/GPU temps live with MSI Afterburner and RTSS. Think thermal throttling might be happening. Run latencymon to check if any service takes over 1000ms when you notice stutters (can help identify driver or software problems).

Check your performance without limits, it shows your maximum possible frames per second. There’s absolutely no need to restrict your FPS. Why are you limiting it to V-sync?

I stopped it otherwise the GPU would heat up to 83°C. I set it using VSync and Riva Tuner.
