This problem is really frustrating and I'm stuck on finding a fix: After adding a batch script to run at Windows log off in the User configuration/windows/end session part of gpedit, my computer takes about 15 minutes to shut down or restart. Just logging me off normally takes a few seconds and starts the script. The script is a single line batch file that sends a command to EventGhost, which powers off via USB IR transmitter for devices like my AC, ceiling fan, and TV. Deleting the script resolves the issue; it runs in about a second when launched manually. The command doesn’t hang—it just flashes briefly. Any suggestions? If this matters, the HD activity on my end flashes during the 15-minute shutdown. It’s relevant if you know what I mean. Thanks for your help!
