My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z390 UD with an RGB header connected to an AIO liquid cooler that also has RGB lighting. The board emits a persistent orange light from behind the IO ports, and this color remains unchanged no matter what settings I adjust. When I turn off the ambient LED in the 'app center' program, all RGB effects—including the cooler—shut down completely. The system doesn’t allow RGB fusion, so I’m looking for a way to disable just the single LED while keeping the rest of the RGB active. I also tried changing the BIOS settings to turn off RGB entirely, but it still affects the whole system.

Apply paint to cover or eliminate the LED from the board

Likely the simplest method is to remove a small circle from a piece of electrical tape.
