From a technical standpoint, Windows isn't compatible with an iPad, and temporary files should remain on the desktop. Use the Start menu, search bar, or taskbar instead. Programs can be pinned to the Start menu or task bar, and you can press the Win key while typing game or app names. Often just a few letters are enough to launch the desired application. (Apologies if this is obvious—I don’t know you and assume others who might.) Also, remember that when a monitor disconnects (even during deep sleep), all icons and windows will appear again. Since you’re challenging the standard behavior, you may need third-party tools to achieve your goals.
