Slot A2 is the suggested manual position for one stick. It seems there might be an issue. I’d reach out to support for an RMA.

Confirm if you're referring to the CPU or the motherboard. Let me know so I can assist accurately.

Mobo. It's very likely. If you have a friend whose CPU matches your setup, you might test swapping the CPUs and see if it works.

It is the correct slot, it's A2, as per the user manual, which you can find on the ASUS support site. Please count the number of slots in the picture, there are 2 empty, and the RAM stick is in the slot before them (A2), leaving 1 slot before it empty, which would be slot A1.

Single RAM might work, but two in the right slots often signal a RAM problem or cooler mount failure. Check if the RAM is installed on the QVL.

Using both sticks results in the same outcome for slots A2 and B2. I've tested two different RAM configurations, both of which are mentioned in my previous post. The CPU is properly seated, the cooler mount works fine, and the RAM is placed correctly. Neither set is on the QVL, though I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. I haven't encountered any issues with RAM that isn't on the QVL before, and based on my experience, Crucial performs well.

Purchase RAM from the QVL section, am5 tends to be quite particular about this. Make sure it’s 6000 MHz or less.
