Hello, I just bought all the components for my PC upgrade: ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WIFI AMD Ryzen 9 9900X, AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, Crucial Pro 64GB (2x32GB) at 6000MT/s and Patriot Viper Venom DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) at 6000MT/s. After installation, I was trying to boot but noticed the DRAM indicator lit up and there was no display. I updated the BIOS using BIOS Flashback because it’s needed for the Ryzen 9 9900X. I attempted to re-seat the RAM, ran memory training with both sets, but the light stayed on and no display appeared. I left it running for about an hour before restarting, still without a screen. I removed the RAM, reset the CMOS, tried shorting the CMOS header, removed the battery, and even touched the header after taking it out, but nothing changed. The GPU itself is fine—it worked before I swapped the board, CPU, and memory. I also tried disconnecting the GPU to use the integrated graphics, but the orange light stayed on instead of red, and other QLEDs didn’t activate.

Check the power connections to the psu and motherboard and gpu. In the picture your memory looks in a odd position. CPU ,Empty, Memory, Empty, Memory. Unless you only had one 1 stick.

I own two sticks; one has been used for memory training, placed in the second slot. Connections from the PSU are all stable, and the GPU is currently unavailable since I'm relying on the iGPU until I confirm everything functions properly. This helps prevent needing to connect both the motherboard and GPU outputs.

Consider installing in the correct RAM slots, such as A2 and B2. If you've already done this, try rebooting it again. Ensure the USB stick is formatted as FAT32 and use the BIOS renamer during download of the BIOS. Opt for BIOS version 2613, which includes support for the 9900X. https://www.asus.com/motherboards-compon...-PLUS-WIFI

I'm working with slots A2 and B2. I have the manual available and plan to apply the 2613 BIOS settings. The formatting appears accurate; I'm using fdisk to create an MBR with FAT32. Since I'm on Linux, I can't use the BIOS renamer, but the download site lists the right filename. It worked previously when I renamed it last time—though the light wouldn’t stay steady and eventually stopped. The manual also confirms the correct name.

Rename the file to TGB650PW.CAP so it loads on the motherboard, and ensure the USB drive uses fat32 format.

The BIOS version 2613 remains active, the memory indicator stays lit, and the screen stays dark despite multiple attempts to refresh the CMOS settings.

Consider removing the CPU and RAM, inspect the pins, place only the RAM in slot A2, then re-flash. If you have another USB drive, repeat the process.

I had already examined the CPU, believing it might be in good condition with no visible damage and proper placement. The RAM connections seem intact on both units. My available drives are a 256GB Gigastone and a 64GB SanDisk, which is still new. I plan to test the SanDisk first.
