Start by disabling XMP, as it often relates to memory issues and disabling it can cause problems. It seems there might be a problem with your BIOS. Wipe the CMOS and reinstall your components. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, consider updating your BIOS since flashing it could provide the latest improvements.

I needed to update the bios for the 5600x support. I refreshed it again because I thought it would help. I’ll try using XMP settings next time!

you might have a faulty BIOS, which means the solution is to refresh it. A new BIOS update could serve both purposes.

XMP was disabled successfully. It also appears to favor HDMI over DisplayPort.

The performance isn’t terrible with RAM speeds, but XMP settings can sometimes cause problems. It’s usually safer to skip it until the issue gets fixed. Regarding DisplayPort versus HDMI, it mainly comes down to compatibility and use case—DisplayPort offers higher bandwidth and better support for 4K and higher resolutions, while HDMI is more widely supported across devices.

It really doesn't matter whether it uses a display port or HDMI. The issue appears to affect anything above 1080p, no matter the connection type. It worked smoothly for days on my low-end TV that only reached 1080p. Problems started when connected to a higher-quality TV or the Aorus fv43u gaming display.

It was early when I wrote that. Yesterday I couldn't get a consistent signal on DP. HDMI was the best option to keep a strong connection after using the sleep and wake method.

...I discovered the issue! I changed to a third-party display port cable instead of the one that came with the gaming monitor! Thanks for your advice and support. It's disappointing when companies add low-quality accessories with their products!
