Show problems that are making a huge amount of trouble for me!
Hey there! I'm reaching out here because I'm running out of ideas for troubleshooting. I've already tried everything listed below, but nothing seems to work. I just wanted to ask if anyone has any insights I haven't considered yet!
Quick summary: Windows isn't showing my middle monitor in a 3-monitor configuration, which also affected how my capture card displayed.
What happened: On Wednesday, July 12th, I was streaming and gaming with friends from 7 PM EST to 1 AM EST. Everything worked fine until I turned off my PC and went to sleep. The next day at around 5 PM EST, something changed. Normally, Windows would power up the middle display, log in, and all three monitors would turn on. But instead, it started on the leftmost monitor. Halfway through logging in, my screens went black, then the right screen came back, but the other two showed "Display port no signal" and turned off.
In the System > Display settings, Windows listed the right monitor as active, while monitors 2 and 3 were marked inactive. When I opened the NVIDIA control panel, I could turn the left monitor back on, and it recognized it—so now I have an active left and right, but the center is off. But if I tried to turn on the middle monitor in that panel, my computer froze and kept needing me to turn it off and back on.
There have been many other hiccups too: missing drivers in Device Manager, boot devices not being recognized, Windows thinking it wasn't activated. I've swapped out the motherboard, GPU, SSD drive, and even changed the boot drive, but nothing helped. Even after fresh installations with new hardware, the problem persists.
I'm really confused about why one day it works and the next it crashes without updates or offline fixes.
If you have any tips or solutions I haven't tried yet, please let me know—I'd really appreciate it!
I don't have a physical PC, but I can describe typical specifications if you provide details about your system. Let me know the components you're using!
