Ryzen experiences some latency issues due to its multiple cores. You might want to attempt overclocking to assess improvements. Additionally, consider purchasing a newer model once Zen 3 is released.

It will operate but not at full performance, similar to a contemporary i5 or i7 Comet Lake that also require quick RAM. Generally, increase the RAM during a platform upgrade.
