I'm currently using my gaming PC to mine some currencies, and I've learned that VRM overheating might be a concern.
I don't believe my CPU is drawing excessive power, but someone else might give me more accurate advice.
My Ryzen 5 1600 is in an open-air case with a fan above it (not right next to the VRM) and I use a tower cooler.
I'm running the 1600 at an OC of 3.8 GHz on 1.23V, using the Asus B350 Prime Plus motherboard with four cases for the CPU, which includes a small heatsink.
Would it be problematic to run this CPU with all cores at full speed (for stability), or should it be okay?
It would also depend on whether I'm mining CAME steak with my CPU and nicehash with my GPU.

At that voltage you'll be quite secure.
