Should i wait for ryzen 4th gen CPU
I'm considering assembling a setup and want a Ryzen 5 3600. I heard AMD will release a new processor (4th gen) in 2020 with a different socket. If I plan to upgrade later, I might need a new motherboard. Is this accurate? Should I wait for the next 4th gen CPUs or purchase the 3600 now? Because if I buy it now and decide to upgrade after two years due to new sockets in the 4th gen, I'd also need a new board. Edit: Sorry, I'm just starting out. My real concern is whether I should wait for the upcoming 4th gen Ryzen or get the 3600 immediately.
I see your perspective clearly. Would you like to take advantage of this offer right away? A budget tailored for the next 2-3 years could help you stay on track. If you agree to any of these options, proceed immediately.
I'm actually constructing a fresh PC, not replacing an old one. That's why I brought this up.
Are you sure you don’t need a PC in the coming two years? If not, hold off. If you want one soon, purchase it now. It’s better to get the latest CPU and motherboard within the next two years—they’re available soon. Holding off for next year feels unnecessary, especially since you can buy the current model at a lower price when the upgrade arrives.
