If you wanted to boost the speed of a 9600k with a 1660 ti, think about whether a different power supply is needed. You're currently using a 750w (80 Plus Bronze) EVGA Supernova nex750b. Also, consider upgrading if you plan to switch to a Ryzen 5 or 7 without overclocking.

PSU is sufficient. A 450W unit for a non-overclocked setup would also work.

It should be fine even though the unit isn't of high quality.
What's the reason for upgrading to a Ryzen? If it's for gaming, 9600k would be more suitable.

I have an FX 6300 and am considering an upgrade. I'm weighing a 9600k against a Ryzen 5. Four years ago, I overspent on the power supply because I wanted to be extra cautious and didn't want to compromise too much on quality. My mistake in wording might have caused confusion.
