FIrst of all, I guess there isn't much reason to go for 1440p, the great majority of people are still on 1080p, or might watch your stream windowed anyway. Instead of going for 940/40, couldn't you get a provider with better upload speeds? Something like 200/100 would be already amazing for streaming. Another thing is, since you're using software encoding, try to see your CPU usage if it isn't hitting 100%. You could try to use the fast or faster preset, or even your GPU hw decoder for smoother frame rates, but worse quality.

Thank you for your reply. It's interesting to consider upgrading just for uploads if such an option exists. I'm limited to using one service since my building only allows that provider.

Your figures seem incorrect. 30,000kbps on a 23mbps connection isn't feasible. YouTube suggested a speed of about twice your bitrate plus extra overhead. For 23mbps, the maximum practical bitrate would be around 10mbps.

I believe you meant to share your first message. When recording only, aim for 30,000 views—not streaming. The stream should be around 9 to 12 mbps for 1080p at 60fps. Should I stream at 9 mbps with a high CPU setting, or at 6 mbps with a faster medium setting?
