I'm using an R7 5700G Hyper 212 Black Edition with a Prime B450M-AII 32GB RAM, 3200MHz clock speed, and a CL22 motherboard. My cart already includes 32GB of 16GB DDR4 memory at 3600MHz. I have a 6700 10GB monitor (Gigabyte 34-inch ultrawide, 3440x1440p). The problem is I notice strange stutters when launching games—loads fine initially but become jittery during training, sometimes resolving instantly, other times not. CPU usage often hits 70% or higher with spikes. Would upgrading to a 5700X 5800X or 5800X3D be helpful? Could a better CPU cooler or a new motherboard help? Please ask any questions if you think I might have the right issues.

Apex performs better with SSDs, though it's tricky to determine this without understanding specific storage details as mentioned by @emosun.

Using the overlay tools from Revit Tuner, you can spot the GPU issues and check voltage stability. The high CPU usage suggests it’s limiting performance. I recommend setting all cores to their maximum achievable frequency at 1.3-1.35V (roughly 4.6-4.8GHz). If that doesn’t help, then the RAM sticks are likely the bottleneck. The 3600C16 appears underwhelming unless you’re targeting 16-16-16 BIOS and expect around 5000MHz DDR4 on ZenCore—this is unlikely given the IMC limitations compared to non-APU options. A dual-rank setup like the 3200C16/3600C18 (DJR) or Crucial 3200C16 (D9WFL)/2666C19 bare PCB (C9BZ) would be better, especially for TRFC. Try running at 4200-4400MHz; dual-rank configurations usually cap around 5000MHz on Ryzen, which should work smoothly. Just focus on fine-tuning the timings and don’t stress over the primaries unless you’re pushing it.

I’m interested in knowing the game’s current settings and whether you adjusted them recently. Lowering certain options in-game can help reduce stuttering. You might have already reviewed this troubleshooting page, which offers simple steps and suggestions before considering upgrades. If you haven’t checked it yet, it’s free and worth a read—no risk involved. https://www.saintlad.com/stuttering-issu...~:text=How to Fix Stuttering Issues on Apex Legends,Files. ... 8 8

A 3.75ns latency in the first word is impressive and shows you're not underestimating modern components. Upgrading a 3200C22 for better performance isn't really worth it unless you're ready to make some big changes. Monitoring CPU-GPU balance is a smart move. The 5700G looks capable enough for Apex, especially on systems that maintain smooth 165fps consistently.

Typically the setup for BR games involves playing at the lowest possible settings and increasing the viewing distance.

I thought the player might have increased the visual effects, which works well in many games but can slow things down in Apex. In any browser-based game, quick and smooth movement is essential. Shadows and lighting can affect performance significantly, though the system specs should support running the game.
