Hello, it's been a while since I've updated Windows 10, and it seems the updates have stopped. Should I consider moving to Windows 11?

Is your hardware natively Win 11 capable?
If it is, there is little reason to avoid the change.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! A logical response would be yes, provided your platform supports Windows 11. You might also consider Linux.

Windows 10 is no longer supported, unless you prefer remaining on an unsupported system; upgrading to Windows 11 would be the best choice.

If your CPU is compatible with the SSE 4.2 instruction set, you can set up Windows 11 25H2 on your PC. It will receive the latest security patches. Just remember this point. Have a great day!

If your system is Windows 10 Home or Professional and you reside in Europe, you may qualify for complimentary security updates for an additional year.

Alternatively, if you are located elsewhere, you might receive free updates by regularly saving a few files to OneDrive with a Microsoft account linked to your PC.

For business users, a fee of $61 applies for ongoing support until October 2026, followed by $122 through October 2027 and $244 up to October 2028.

Large enterprises running Windows 10 Enterprise 2021 IoT will continue receiving updates until January 2032.

Upgrading to Windows 11 could be a more suitable choice, though other alternatives exist if you wish to extend your use of Windows 10.
