Hello! You're thinking about upgrading your setup after the new 7000 series launched. It makes sense to consider swapping your Ryzen 5 5600X for a newer model like the 7600X, especially if you're aiming for better performance. Pairing it with a better motherboard and RAM could really boost your experience.

It should work well with the 3060 Ti. If you're aiming for that upgrade, you can definitely do it, but it won't significantly impact the performance of your current build. I recommend sticking with what you have—it's a solid processor.

Could be a smart move to upgrade, since RAM and CPUs are fairly pricey but the boards are already solid. The B650M HDV should cover most needs and is meant to be an entry-level option, even though the VRMs can handle a higher-end 7950X. It makes sense to build once and avoid multiple purchases. The 5600X likely only adds value if you're using it at full capacity, otherwise it's probably worth around 100-120 CAD unless it's much cheaper. The AM4 chipset is very affordable, especially in used form, particularly for older models like B3/450.

It might be smarter to switch to the newer platform now. This prepares you for upcoming upgrades.

The 5600x remains sufficient for most GPUs at typical resolutions. Unless you purchased a 4080 or 4090, it's acceptable. You're being overly cautious. Just assemble your setup and enjoy gaming. You won't even notice the difference. In a few years, you might feel the need to upgrade, and then you'll be ready. By then, the gap between a 5600 and 7600 will seem insignificant.

The 7000 series has been unavailable for a while now. When did you purchase the 5600x? It's usually not wise to buy PC parts over time. Consider getting the 7600 instead, and discard the 5600x.

My son's system has a 5600X with a solid performance. It's currently limited to +150, running at 4800MHz. It won't feel as cutting-edge as newer models, but it still offers solid capabilities.

It seems the 9000 series might arrive around July, based on some rumors. A 9600X could be impressive, and there might be price reductions in the 7600X. That’s what I’m trying to remind myself about my 5600X.
