It's really dull for about 20 hours before you start grasping hot drops, loot, zone timing, and distance timing, etc. I spent around 100 hours playing, but the latest updates turned out to be terrible, which is why I gave up.

the downtime is what's holding me back—I don't have much free time to play games. When I do get some, I wait a minute in a lobby, then another to drop, hoping someone will join before it's too late. It feels like a waste of time, and now I'm really wishing I hadn't bought PUGB. PS: I got PUGB after trying Mobile with an emulator; I was getting 10 to 12 fragments per match, thinking I was strong, but I suspect those were just bots.

Purchase Titanfall 2 next. It delivers relentless intensity.

Consider trying Sanhok—it offers a quicker learning curve with more frequent gunfights. It helps you get comfortable with the weapon and overall gameplay faster than other maps. However, if you're not enjoying it, it might not be worth playing. I really like the game and have logged over 700 hours, but it's been running poorly for me lately after a strong performance on my system last year. [unrelated] That said, I recently picked up CSGO (only played 10 hours at first because of its limited scope compared to BF3) and I've been enjoying it for its steady progress. My CS skills are still a bit outdated since I haven't played it seriously since Source, but I'm picking it up quickly.

I've been playing PUBG sporadically for a year and still struggle a lot. It's one of the most annoying online games I've ever tried. My usual play style: sneak around for a bit, grab good gear, then take a headshot from nowhere and get eliminated. Then repeat. It's strange how I can jump into a BF match after months without playing and end up in the top three. In PUBG, it feels like everyone else has better reflexes or aim than me—since I lose at least 8 out of 10 one-on-one fights, even with my 18 years of experience and FPS skills.

Alternatively, you can aim for better performance on the sandhok map since it doesn’t have rankings. It’s wise to focus on settling populated zones to gradually improve your abilities rather than constantly searching for loot just to avoid dying.
