the rest of your usual setup (a few drives and fans) consumes almost nothing

this means your power supply still has capacity left,
and it’s not a situation where you’re stuck with an unrealistically large unit that can’t deliver its rated power...
Based on the previous discussion, it should function properly. If you obtain the 9070xt, begin saving some money now and whenever you find an opportunity for a more powerful unit in a few months, take advantage of it.
