Both cards cost the same in my place.
5070 looks better for ray tracing, though games now require it. However, reviews mention lower raster performance and 12GB usage compared to 9070.
I can't decide yet. I need a strong recommendation for future games.
Currently I'm at 1080p, possibly upgrading to 1440p in a year with a Ryzen 7600.

If they're priced equally, choose either but I recommend AMD's RX 9070. Consider checking the game titles you plan to play and see which ones run better on the Nvidia GPU. What is the model, brand, and year of your power supply unit?

I would also mention 9070, which is because of the extra vram, two issues from Nvidia's 50 series driver problems, and three points where the RT performance remains similar.

Looking ahead to gaming, I believe 12gb could restrict performance, similar to how 8gb affects other GPUs currently. I’m uncertain whether Wukong enables RT by default, but the findings match those from the same review. This result wasn’t part of their RT testing.

I would choose 9070 because it offers more VRAM and the drivers are significantly better, and they should keep improving over time.
Nvidia 5070 is not worth it for me. Even with raycasting turned on, you'd run out of VRAM due to its 12GB capacity. Plus, considering the unstable launch these cards have had, I wouldn't feel confident about it.

Unless the 5070 is much more affordable, I’d choose the 9070. It offers comparable or improved performance overall, with 16GB of VRAM compared to 12GB in the 5070, allowing higher quality settings and better longevity before needing an upgrade.
