I’m curious to understand whether playing GTA 5 online in 2019 is a worthwhile experience. I previously enjoyed the game immensely back in 2016, and those were truly memorable times within GTA 5 online. Now, after a three-year hiatus, I’m considering giving it another try and would like to know if purchasing the game is currently recommended. Thank you.

Personal value, truly speaking.
I know several acquaintances who enjoy this game, including newcomers who’ve just begun playing – and they all appreciate GTA V online.
Therefore, considering this alone, if the cost is reasonable, I’d suggest it's ‘worthwhile,’ absolutely.

Likely, if that appeals to you. My companions and I spend a considerable amount of time playing GTA Online; we completed nearly every heist and numerous missions, however, much of the material remains inaccessible due to excessively high costs. I don't typically engage in violence for amusement within public game sessions, which led to our disinterest.

Thank you for your response, and yes, I plan to purchase it, and I don't believe I will feel any remorse about buying it (hopefully).

I understand, however, despite this, the game remains enjoyable with its stunts and racing elements. I’m curious to know if they introduced a particularly noteworthy addition since 2016.

Do you also buy it on Steam? There, they offer a refund within a certain period if you aren’t enjoying it.

Certainly. Previously, the updates were released approximately every two weeks. However, I’m unsure at this point whether that frequency has continued. Despite this, a significant amount of fresh content—including vehicles, missions, and heists—is available. I suggest trying it out. Additionally, on the PC version, you have the option to engage in RolePlay if that appeals to you.

I concur with the consensus – whether it’s a worthwhile investment depends on your judgment.

However, exercise caution regarding in-app purchases; it’s simple to overspend, and before you realize it, you could be spending $10, $50, or even several hundred dollars.

Situations can deteriorate quickly – I’m speaking from personal knowledge, having previously played World of Warcraft and being unable to resist purchasing digital companions.

Ultimately, you possess no ownership of these virtual items and cannot utilize them beyond the game itself; therefore, if the game ceases to function, your investments are lost – a complete waste of money.

Furthermore, the expense per unit of data for these items is significantly greater than your standard internet bill.

Some individuals constantly using those ridiculous stationary bikes detract from the enjoyment for others. A year ago, I amassed numerous large sums of money in GTA Online simply by associating with these exploiters within game sessions. Attempting to disconnect would only result in another hacker offering boosted levels and funds in subsequent lobbies. I estimated that I disposed of approximately twenty to thirty of the game's most valuable vehicles, incurring a 200K loss per car while achieving a profit of 800K per car – Rockstar chose not to confiscate my earnings. I currently possess around two million dollars in my account and have purchased all the content up to the Bunker expansion.

GTA Online often presents an unpredictable experience – “your mileage may vary.” If you’re comfortable with in-game purchases, it might be worth trying.
