I plan to keep the 4690k and upgrade it later if needed. If I attempt to boost my GPU (mostly GTX 970) and CPU moderately, should I choose a gold 550 watt S12G seasonic or bronze 650 watt M12ii Evo seasonic? Both are priced similarly here. I understand the 650 watt offers more headroom but question its efficiency during idle, downloads, or browsing. I’ll be using it for 2-5 hours daily on average.

Both options are acceptable - the rig will function with whatever it requires.
