I don't have much experience with overclocking and I'm curious whether I should boost my i5 6400 using the asus h110m-k board. What steps should I take?

You can't push it further because it isn't a unlocked chip and your motherboard doesn't allow it. You might be able to adjust the base clock, but that would also affect CPU/RAM/GPU/Sata etc. I wouldn't suggest doing that unless you're confident and have studied how it functions.

You can't push it further because it isn't a K (Unlocked) chip and your motherboard doesn't allow it. There might be some adjustments to the base clock (BCLK), but that would also affect CPU, RAM, GPU, and SATA settings. I wouldn't suggest doing this unless you're confident and have studied how it functions.

You can't increase its speed beyond the limits because it isn't a unlocked chip and your motherboard doesn't allow it. Changing the base clock might help, but it would still affect CPU, RAM, GPU, and SATA settings. I wouldn't suggest doing that unless you're confident and have studied how it works.
