Hello, Your PC is acting sluggish—freezing during file copies and slow overall performance. You're considering a budget upgrade of $25, with options for 4 GB RAM or a 120 GB SSD. Based on your specs (Pentium G3220, H81 motherboard, 160 GB HDD, 2 GB DDR3 RAM), adding more RAM would likely provide the biggest boost. A 4 GB RAM upgrade should help significantly, while a SSD would improve boot and application loads. Choose the RAM option that fits your needs within the $25 limit.

RAM would be the superior choice if you truly need to split the baby. With just 2GB of RAM, you're likely constantly accessing the filesystem. An SSD would help, but the ideal scenario is avoiding paging altogether—because RAM remains significantly faster than any storage device.

It turns out I’ll have both options now—6 GB of RAM and a 120 SSD plus an 160 GB HDD.
