Should I get Metro 2033 or Last Light?

I haven't played any Metro titles yet, but Steam offers discounts on both versions. I'm considering which one to buy. Which would be more valuable—Redux or the standard edition? Are the Redux updates worth the extra cost?

If you are going for 2033, the Redux version is a must. The first one can be completly unplayable. Personally, I thought Last Light was a better game, but they are both amazing. You don't need to play 2033 before Last Light, but I would recommend it.

2033 redux is essential, it incorporates all the enhancements from the previous update. Last light remains an excellent title, so consider getting the redux edition too.

I didn't claim it was impossible, just possible. When using 4xMSAA at a high resolution, the frame rate drops significantly beyond expectations.
