Many players praise CS:GO for its quality and popularity, with over 25 million purchases. Recent feedback on Steam suggests some concerns, but it’s unclear if these critiques reflect widespread issues or isolated opinions.

To a certain extent, you encounter some shady characters occasionally. Some folks are rude, while others are friendly. There are definitely negative interactions, but you also meet kind individuals. It’s similar to most other games.

They're correct, please keep going. It's good to have 500 hours.

They messed everything up, completely changed the audio and game sounds. I just walked away—no way I’m staying around for this anymore. CS:GO isn’t enjoyable at all. My record is 850 hours.

The main issue is inebriated Aussies. Join your nearby LAN gaming group and you won't face any trouble.

They made the audio quality very poor.

they recently completely overhauled the game, essentially going back to basics for skill. you had to relearn every weapon sound, the mechanics, and timing. it’s not broken—it's just tough for someone to fully master a core mechanic. starting from scratch would be fine, especially if you’ve played since 2013 or more. also, expect a lot of smurfs, hackers, and possibly even worse challenges from Russians.

Hello, my experience with CS is quite extensive. I began playing in 2003, enjoying competitive play for a while. Regarding CSGO, I initially tried the beta version back in 2011, but didn’t use it much. After that, I played for about two months in 2014 and recently for roughly a month this year. The community around CSGO is quite different from the original, and I mean it negatively. If you have friends to play with or against in CSGO, you’ll be very satisfied; otherwise, it’s a completely different experience. What bothers me most are the cheaters. Be honest, there are plenty of them. The VAC system is one of the worst anti-cheat solutions available, often taking months to ban offenders. Not to mention that cheaters tend to buy multiple accounts when the game is discounted for $4. However, there’s a workaround: signing up on ESEA and playing there avoids this issue. Their anti-cheat system is significantly better, though it requires a monthly fee, discouraging sign-ups. Additionally, ESEA uses 128 tick servers compared to Valve’s 64, resulting in smoother gameplay—every serious competitor benefits from that. As for the game itself, I find CSGO a bit outdated compared to the original due to its skins. You’ll see many young players flaunting expensive knives just because their parents can afford them. Regarding reviews, I’m not sure what people say about CSGO. If the criticism is harsh, it’s likely because of the toxic environment. The NA servers are problematic, with many Russian players who don’t speak English and frequently curse. There are also a few autistic players who sing patriotic tunes, making it hard to track where bullets land. Still, despite all the negativity, the game’s skill ceiling is impressive, and playing with four friends makes it much more enjoyable.
