Laptop model is T100Chi with just 2GB RAM. Seeking methods to boost performance. Explored some unusual solutions and discovered increasing page file usage could help, especially given the ample storage available.

It's already in use ("Automatically manage"; refer to the current allocation count). Because it's stored on eMMC, it won't significantly improve performance. Avoid setting it to zero. Windows will crash if it runs out of RAM.

Keep the page file intact; Windows handles it itself, and it’s likely already in use frequently.

Based on my observations, boosting the page file doesn't improve speed when the storage device isn't quick enough for Windows updates. Note: I once had a laptop with just 2GB of RAM connected to a rotating hard disk.

Windows expands memory when necessary but never relies on the page file unless RAM is completely exhausted.
