There should be more space for the GPU then. Upgrading the 3080 to another model and using the old one would be better than buying a new one like the 3060. All relative. Another 12700K would also work well, since they're quite affordable.

Haha no it's all good, I build a new PC when I choose to, but right now I am fine with my PC and she's fine with hers, but I thought hers wasn't win11 compatible but apparently I need to verify the bios version and settings and it should be fine.
Since I am not a HEAVY gamer in the sense of many different types/titles/styles I am fine with what I have for now if I can get both PCs up to win11 when I have to in October.
Now I can find something else to spend around $2500 on though!

In reality, based on the details provided, I would upgrade her GPU and continue using both systems for several years.

So I got home, updated the bios, turned on TMP, but when I enable secure boot mode, it just keeps looping through the bios and won't boot from the 960Evo SSD in the M2_1 slot? Oh, and I checked the drives—they're all running the same firmware for the SSDs.

I bet the SSD was configured with W10 using MBR instead of GPT (search online). I suggest performing a fresh W11 installation from a USB drive.
I’m sure your files are safely backed up!

You don't need to start from scratch, but upgrading to an RX 6750 XT would be a great improvement for your wife's computer.

It is accurate, but there is a method to transform it using the Windows repair tool; I'll attempt that.

Get yourself a brand new GPU and pass your wife the 3080. The 5070 and 5070ti will arrive soon, followed by the RX 9070 in March.
